How to create a broker account

Open your tastytrade account, get the right trading permissions, then connect it to Hestia.

Individual margin account

Apply for the Basic trading tier on an Individual margin account. This tier allows selling uncovered (naked) puts.

Compare tastytrade account permissions

  1. Start your application

    Create your login on tastytrade and choose an Individual margin account.

    Sign up for tastytrade

  2. Select the Basic trading tier

    When asked for your trading level, select Basic. Complete the application with accurate personal, financial, and trading-experience information. Account and options permissions are subject to tastytrade approval.

  3. Wait for approval and fund your account

    Complete any verification requested by tastytrade. Once approved, follow its funding instructions and confirm that your account has enough available options buying power for your trade.

  4. Connect to Hestia

    Return to Hestia, select Connect Your Broker, and choose tastytrade in the connection flow. Leave Enable trading access selected if you want to submit trades through Hestia.
